a bit about Rima:
Rima Saini is a Senior Lecturer in Sociology specialising in ethnic minority (specifically British South Asian) socio-political identity, social mobility and experiences of marginalisation. She is passionate about engaging in critical conversations around decolonisation of the curriculum, particularly in the field of quantitative methods pedagogy in the social and political sciences. A Q-Step alumnus and champion of racial equality in higher education, she is also a founding member of the Middlesex University Anti-Racism Network and former Decolonisation Co-Lead in the School of Law. She led the primary quantitative and qualitative data collection for the Middlesex University application to the Race Equality Charter in 2021/22. She is also Co-Director of the Social Policy Research Centre, Co-Chair of the Migration, Politics and Society Research Cluster, Co-Chair of Ethics & Trustee of the British Sociological Association.
